PhoneCam records ambient sound with photo
PhonoCam takes a photo and record the ambient sound at the scene. The image came be saved to the iPhone Camera Roll separately. The sound files can be exported to iTunes. In iTunes the photo is included in the AIFF sound file and is used as the cover art for the sound.
In order to import the sound files onto the Mac, there is clear step-by-step here: When uploaded to Posterous, the original sound file has 3 seconds of noise added at the end. I tried an old Mac app called AudialHub to convert the AIFF file to MP3 and it had the same problem. Then, I used WireTap Studio which did the conversion without the noise. This is what I've uploaded here. There is no problem with the original sound file in iTunes. PhonoCam brings a new dimension to taking photos.
