Setting Tweetie 2 to use Tumblr

Tweetie 2 > Accounts > + > Tumblr Username / Password : [Action Icon]
API Root: http://tumblr.com/
Search API: http://tumblr.com/
Save

Warning: Don't use the same Tumblr / Twitter username if the passwords are different.

Twitter action = Tumblr action:
Retweeting = Reblogging
Replying = Reblogging with comment
Favoriting = Liking
@isaw = http://isaw.tumblr.com/
Conversations = Reblogs

When I set it up using a Tumblr account which has the same name as my Twitter account but a different password, my Twitter account is locked for incorrect password. I've had no problems using a Twitter / Tumblr combination with Tweete 2 which have different usernames. I guess if I used the same password for the account with the same username, this would also work but I have not tested this.

Using Instapaper to show webpages in Tweetie 2

- Setting Instapaper as the webpage reader for links in Tweetie 2, paste the URL as the custom mobilizer:

So it is possible to access MobileMe and Find My iPhone from the iPhone following a link to me.com in Tweetie 2.

Following the link in my original tweet, I was able to login to MobileMe and access all areas including Find My iPhone on my iPhone. The advantage of this is if a partner has lost their iPhone whilst out, it is possible to login to their MobileMe account and use the Find My iPhone facility. You cannot login to MobileMe using the Safari browser on the iPhone.

Howto Autopost using PicPosterous v1.1

PicPosterous v1.1 for the iPhone has added some very useful improvements.

Images can be *Deleted* from any Album managed by PicPosterous.
Images can be added to *Any* of the Albums managed by PicPosterous, not just the most recent.
You can Autopost an Album when it is *complete*, not just when it is created.
You can *choose* which sites to Autopost to rather than Autopost to everything.
You can share a link to a Gallery by email. The email includes a link to the Gallery and the first image.

Whilst 1. and 2. are obvious e.g. add a photo, Select Album, job done or tap Album, move to photo, tap Trash icon; I couldn't work out how to use the Autoposting (and thus the email option), at first. These are the steps:

1. Tap the blue arrow head to the right of the Album:

2. Tap the Autopost line:

3. Tap in the marked rectangular area to instantly Autopost. If you tap the blue arrow head, your go to the site (in this example -- Flickr)

4. The Confirmation of the Autopost:

Fluid style for SimpleNote / journal / hicksdesign

Update: I was unable to make it work, possibly to do with the Simplenote web upgrade of 16-Nov-09.
